Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Send me a message and I'll happily help.

Are you insured and DBS checked?

Yes. I hold an up-to-date DBS certificate and public liability insurance that covers the pets in my care. I'm happy to show both at our meet-and-greet.

What happens at the meet-and-greet?

I visit you at home for 15 to 30 minutes, free of charge. We talk through your pet's routine, health and quirks, agree how keys and access will work, and make sure your pet is comfortable with me.

How do keys and access work?

I collect a spare key at the meet-and-greet. Keys are stored securely and labelled without your address. Key safes and door codes are fine too.

Do you walk dogs in bad weather?

Yes, walks go ahead in rain and wind. In extreme heat or icy conditions I shorten walks or swap them for indoor play, and I always towel dogs dry before I leave.

How will I know how my pet is doing?

After every walk or visit I send a photo and a short note on WhatsApp, so you can see what we got up to.

What if my pet is unwell or there's an emergency?

I'll contact you straight away. If I can't reach you and your pet needs urgent care, I'll take them to your registered vet, so please make sure your vet details are up to date.

Can you give medication?

Yes, I can give tablets, liquids and most routine medication. Just show me what's needed at the meet-and-greet.

Do you take reactive or nervous dogs?

Often, yes. Reactive and nervous dogs get solo walks at quiet times and routes. Let's talk it through at the meet-and-greet.

How do group walks work?

Groups are small, up to 4 dogs, and I only group dogs that are well matched in size, energy and temperament after a trial walk.

How do I pay?

I send an invoice weekly or at the end of a booking, payable by bank transfer within 7 days.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice may be charged in full.
